ICAO gives the ELPAC test a full endorsement
The ELPAC test meets the ICAO Language Proficiency Requirements
The Centre for Aviation Language congratulates EUROCONTROL on receiving a full and unconditional endorsement by ICAO. The endorsement confirms that the ELPAC test meets the ICAO Language Proficiency Requirements and follows good language testing practices.
The ELPAC test was launched just five years ago. Today it is the first and only language test in the industry to receive full endorsement from ICAO. The ELPAC test is currently used by some 33 organisations in 30 ECAC States.
The ELPAC test was developed to support the EUROCONTROL Member States in meeting the ICAO Language Proficiency Requirements for ATC controllers that were introduced in March 2011. Every year, between 1,500 and 2,000 ATC controllers take the ELPAC test to maintain their ATCO licence.
The Centre for Aviation has been a partner of ELPAC since 2011.
